This is an evaluation version of RAYTRACE. Raytrace is a program written specifically for the purposes of teaching and exploring geometrical optics. It allows the user to: * trace rays through arbitrary 2D optical systems * animate and drag the diagrams with the mouse * demonstrate dispersion with different coloured rays * demonstrate all the ray diagrams you need in a course on geometrical optics. A review of the program is due out in "Computers in Physics" in Sept/Oct 1995. A quick tour of many of the features is available when the program is run. The evaluation copy of Raytrace is freeware - you may copy and distribute it as you please.
